Bitcoin doesn’t store money under username/password credentials. Instead, it relies on Asymmetric Cryptography.

🔑 Two Keys for Every Account:

  • Public Key (Address): Like your bank account number or mailbox address. Share it freely with anyone who wants to send you money.
  • Private Key: Like your secret vault key or PIN code. Used to sign and authorize outgoing payments. Never share it with anyone!

If someone gets your Private Key, they own your Bitcoins completely and permanently.

🧠 Today's Key Takeaway

  • Public Key = Shareable address to receive funds.
  • Private Key = Secret signature key to spend funds. Not your keys, not your coins!
