Understanding the key relationship pipeline:

$$\text{Private Key (256-bit number)} \xrightarrow{\text{ECDSA secp256k1}} \text{Public Key} \xrightarrow{\text{SHA256 + RIPEMD160}} \text{Address}$$

🔐 One-Way Direction
You can easily derive Public Keys and Addresses downstream from your Private Key. But calculating backwards from an Address or Public Key to find the Private Key is mathematically impossible with modern computers.

🧠 Today's Key Takeaway

  • Derivation flows one-way: Private Key -> Public Key -> Address.
  • Addresses shorten public keys and include checksums to prevent typos.
